Article Directories

If you have articles written and ready to submit for building back links then you are most likely looking for the best way to submit these.

I am of the opinion that most people already have in mind how this works and what is the best way to do it, however there may be some points they have not considered. I will attempt to give a few ways of marketing your articles as well as providing a list of the top 20 article directories to submit to.

Guest Posts

This method takes a bit of time to setup at first, but afterwards is simple to maintain. There are a few key points to consider here:

  1. Write an article related to your industry that uses 2 keywords that you are trying to rank for.
  2. Try to make the article at least 600 words or more.
  3. Make the article easy to follow and include useful points that will give the reader an action item to achieve.
  4. Add a bio line at the bottom and put your 2 keywords there as well and make sure those are linked to your site.
  5. Make about 4 – 5 variations of this article with slight changes in content but without changing the main points.

Once you have the article written now comes the more time consuming part… Finding a few highranking blog sites to submit the article to. This process requires you doing a search in google for your keyword and add the word “blog” to the end of it.

Find about 10 blog sites that are self hosted blog sites and you will know these are self hosted because they will not have the word “blogspot” or “wordpress” as the main url.

You also want to make sure they have a contact page or a way for you to check their whois and email them that way.

Send them an email with one of the variations of the article and ask them if you can become a guest writer and that each time you send them an article it will be unique to their site only.

Tell them that you will send them 1 article per week or every other week, etc and make sure you stick to that.

The only thing you ask for in return is to keep your article in tact and the bio line with your keywords link in tact.

High Rank Article Directories

This method means you find about 20 high ranking Article Directories that you will manually submit to each time you write an article. Again, keep in mind the above points on what type of article to write because these may be picked up by other sources and shared on other sites which will increase your link value.
